Great Loop Blog Day 21

We stayed in Mackinaw City on Monday, as Mondays are always busy work days. Bright and early on Tuesday we made the long trek over the top of Michigan, around Waugoshance Point through Big Cut, across Goose and Sturgeon Bay, past Good Hart, and across Little Traverse Bay to Petoskey. Conditions were excellent for the crossing.

As we rounded Waugoshance Point the water was so clear you could see the shadow of the boat on the bottom. Darina shot this video using the GoPro Hero 10 which gives you an idea how clear it was:

We elected to stay in Petoskey through Sunday morning, as the first available slip South in Traverse City - or anywhere else was booked.

Thus began four fun filled days in Petoskey. We ate too much ice cream, stocked up on supplies, explored the town, worked on YouTube videos, and learned the art of breakwall jumping from the locals. This will all be covered in a You Tube episode to follow.

With so many Moose themed things in our lives we couldn't resist this:

Murdocks has the best Ice Cream in Town!

One afternoon we visited Crooked Tree Art Museum. The Museum is in a converted Church and has amazing architecture.

There are beautiful flowers everywhere downtown which makes for plenty of good selfie-ops locations.

Sunday morning bright and early we said goodbye to Petoskey and headed to Traverse City.
